A Brief Discussion of Shamanistic Characters Four Thousand Years Ago in Xinjiang——On the Age of Kangjiashimenzi Rock Painting

Abstract:In the Bronze Age around 4000 years ago, there was a type of Shamanistic human figure with special decorated head and face was found in Qiemuerqieke Culture, Hamitianshanbeilu Culture and Gumugou-Xiaohe Culture in Xinjiang. Meanwhile, this type of figure was found more in Okunev Culture and Karasuk Culture in Altai region of Russia, the similar figure could be observed also in the rock art of Kangjiashimenzi, Altai Mountains, Tianshan Mountains, Helan Mountains and Yinshan Mountains. It is speculated that these human figures are not only closely related to each other, but also based on the same foundation of Shamanism belief.
