Workforce management

Workforce is one of the biggest and most important assets for any company. The HR function will have to work with several functions to understand the utilization of employees, understand performance, and plan for recruitment.

A company has to make the right decision regarding whether to recruit a full-time employee (FTE) or look at contracting or outsourcing. The HR function will need all the parameters which can help them take the decisions. If outsourced or contracted, contract management and legal and regulatory compliance also becomes a part of HR strategy.

Manager index is one area which is considered crucial in achieving overall employee satisfaction. Lot of people who leave companies do so because of their manager. HR has to be on top of this to ensure this is managed properly and taken due care of.

Without a system in place, the HR function has to struggle to get the data points, and then strategics and make those crucial decisions. A lot of time gets wasted in manual reporting, and delayed decisions can significantly hamper the growth of the company.

Of late, we have seen HR becoming another early adopter, along with the sales and finance functions. The consultant will need to be aware of the challenges and help provide HR with the ability to analyze these key points and rapidly arrive at decisions.
