Manual reporting

Manual reporting is still prevalent in many companies. Yes, we too were initially surprised! The top management of such companies is used to someone preparing reports in Excel and sending them over email. Excel is quite a powerful tool and can show some graphical reports.

The consultant must treat such companies in a different way, as the exposure of the business users to analytical systems will be limited. From what we have experienced in such organizations, a good approach is to automate the reporting process and then gradually move to analytics.
