Foreword

According to the requirements specified in the Plan for Revising and Developing Professional Standards in 2007（FaGaiBanGongYe〔2007〕No.1415）issued by the General Administration Office of National Development and Reform Commission，this Specification is revised by its development team based on extensive investigations and studies made，practices summarized，comments requested as well as references to international codes and standards.

This Specification comprises 14 chapters and 9 appendixes.

This Specification mainly includes general provisions，lifting machinery，gin pole，ground anchor，rigging hardware，lifting gear，lifting point，workpiece loading/unloading and transportation，workpiece lifting，lifting under special conditions，ground treatment and underground facility protection.

This Specification is based on the Specification for lifting in petrochemical industry SH/T 3536-2002 with main revisions shown below:

—Modify the terms and definitions in SH/T 3536-2002，and add terms and definitions related to the revisions；

—Restructure SH/T 3536-2002；

—Reclassify lifting operations；

—Add the environmental protection requirements for lifting；

—Add the service requirements for lifting machinery，such as tower crane，overhead crane，and hydraulic lifting equipment；

—Add the selection and requirements for tubular steel gin pole；

—Supplement the service requirements for endless wire rope sling，spreader beam and plate type lifting gear；

—Supplement the common types of pipe type lifting lugs and lifting blind flanges；

—Add the contents related to lifting operations by hydraulic lifting equipment，and lifting under special conditions；

—Add the requirements for ground treatment and underground facility protection in working area；

—Add 8 informative appendixes and 1 normative appendix；
