1. International trade introduced in the textbook of international trade practice is actually limited to the international trade in goods, that is, international trade in narrow sense. According to the relevant rules of CISG, such a trade refers to the trade between parties with business locations in different countries.

2. Doing international trade requires certain methods. Nowadays contract-centered trade method is the most commonly used one. Other transaction methods, with their own characteristics，can meet different needs of traders and are also very important.

3. Parties from different countries need a set of legal norms to govern their transaction behavior and serve as the basis for adjudication when disputes arise. The main types of such legal norms are domestic laws, international trade customs, and international trade conventions. Each kind of legal norms has its own characteristics and scope of application.

4. In terms of structure, this textbook will focus on issues related to trade methods, and international trade rules based on legal norms will be introduced in the related chapters.
