Simplex

A simplex communication is often referred to as a one-way communication because the direction of the transmission is predetermined. In this method of communication, the sender is called a transmitter because its task is to always transmit messages. Hence, the endpoint where the message arrives is called the receiver because its task is to always receive messages. An analogy of simplex communication is the television station that is based on the structured content broadcasting method, as shown in Figure 2.7:
