Public IP addresses
A public IP address is considered to be any IP address that enables a device to be accessed from anywhere on the internet. That said, a public IP address uniquely identifies a device on the internet. This is also why a public IP address is often called an internet address. In addition, a public IP address is routable. The organization that is responsible for managing both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses is the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA), which works under the supervision of the Internet Architecture Board (IAB). The Regional Internet Registries (RIRs) are responsible for the allocation of IPv4 and IPv6 addresses to the ISPs. Then, the ISPs allocate IPv4 and IPv6 addresses to organizations.
If you want to learn your public IP address, then run the show my ip command on Google or Bing search engines.
