Summary

In this chapter, we have covered the steps required to prepare the server for the installation of UAG, and completed the installation procedure and the Getting Started Wizard as well. If you have much experience as an administrator or system engineer, you would probably agree, at this stage, that UAG is one of the easiest products to install and configure. With some solid planning, this entire task can be accomplished in just over an hour, including the Windows update. Before proceeding to the next chapter, we recommend documenting the steps you have taken, and parameters you have used, in case the server needs to be reinstalled. Performing a backup of your server is also a good idea.

The next chapter will introduce you to the first building block of UAG publishing—Trunks. We will discuss the various types of trunks and what type of publishing they are suitable for, as well as other related considerations, such as HTTPS vs. HTTP and SSL Certificates.
