6.9 Requirements on Comprehensive Facilities
6.9.1 The underground facilities in the main power house shall be arranged in accordance with the following requirements:
1 Underground pipe trenches and cable raceways should not be provided in main power house. If it is unavoidable, they should not cross each other and measures shall be in place to prevent water from logging.
2 The water accumulated at the bottom floor shall be discharged to the collection well through water drain pipe network. The return pipes of cooling water from auxiliary equipment may be arranged overhead with pressure or buried underground.
3 Full basement should not be built beneath turbine house. If numerous devices are arranged at ground level of the turbine house and ground water level is not high, partial basement may be provided if demonstratedrationalthroughtechno-economiccomparison.Thearrangementofbasementsshall accommodate the requirements of transportation, water drainage,anti-moisture,ventilation,and lighting.
6.9.2 The cable laying and cable channels arrangement in the main power house area shall comply with the following requirements:
1 The cables should be laid in dedicated overhead trays, cable tunnels or conduit banks.Power cables and control cables should be laid separately. If overhead cable trays and cable tunnels are adopted, appropriate measures shall be taken to prevent accumulation of pulverized coal on cables and fire spreading.
2 The corridors of overhead trays shall be designed in combination with the main equipment and piping arranged in main power house, and should be kept clear of areas susceptible to fires. The overhead trays shall be routed and arranged to minimize the consumption of cables, and allow convenient construction and routine maintenance, and shall be orderly and visually pleasing.
3 The cable tunnels shall not serve as the drainage channels for other pipe trenches. If cable tunnels cross other pipe trenches,water-proof measures shall be taken appropriately.
6.9.3 The main emergency oil reservoir and other oil storage and baffling facilities provided for electrical equipment shall comply with the following requirements:
1 Underground emergency oil reservoir shall be provided for electrical equipment with capacity equaling to the oil capacity of the largest transformer and shall be provided with oil-water separator.
2 The oil storage and baffling facilities of electrical equipment shall be in line with the current national standard GB 50229,Code for Design of Fire Protection for Fossil Fuel Power Plants and Substations.
6.9.4 The chemical dosing and water-steam sampling devices of thermal system should be arranged inside the main power house in a relatively centralized way.The warehouse storing the chemicals to be dosed may be located close to the chemical dosing device.
