1　Scope

This standard specifies the scope，procedures，technical requirements and depth with respect to studies in±800kV UHVDC transmission and system design of converter station.

This standard applies to design of±800kV UHVDC transmission systems，excluding DC lines and electrode lines.Special requirements in particular projects can be met through further studies performed based on their specific function specifications and this standard.

This standard can be used as a reference for HVDC transmission and back-to-back connection at other voltage levels.
