After childbirth, the new mother should undergo selfisolation for at least 14 days, and direct breastfeeding is not recommended for this period. The mother is advised to express breast milk on a regular basis to ensure lactation, and continue breastfeeding only after the possibility of infection is excluded or she has recovered from the illness.
