《蓝花花》是根据陕北民间发生的真实故事演绎而成的一首信天游，由若非、维琴、燕平记谱整理。1951年歌唱家刘燕平把《蓝花花》唱出国门，在柏林“第三届世界青年与学生和平友谊联欢节”荣获优秀表演奖。回国后又将《蓝花花》唱进中南海，受到周恩来总理的赞誉。《蓝花花》因此成为广泛流传的陕北民歌经典金曲。

Lady Lan Huahua is a ballad based on a true story that happened in the north of Shaanxi. It is about a brave girl named Lan Huahua, who protested against feudalism and pursued her own happy marriage. Her struggle ends up in tragedy and costs her life. Notated by musicians from Yan’an, this song owes its reputation, home and abroad, to Liu Yanping, a female singer well-known in 1950s. The song in this anthology is refined on the basis of diverse previous versions.
