tease vt. To tease someone means to laugh at them or make jokes about them in order to embarrass, annoy, or upset them.嘲笑·He teased me mercilessly about going to Hollywood.

coordinate vt.To make the parts of your body move and work together well 调节,协调·I couldn't get my brain to function or coordinate my muscles.

gratitude n. Gratitude is the state of feeling grateful.感激·I wish to express my gratitude to Kathy Davis for her immense practical help.

deal n. an agreement or arrangement, especially in business or politics, that helps both sides involved 交易·They made a deal to sell the land to a property.

narrate vt.If you narrate a story,you tell it from your own point of view.讲(故事),叙述·The three of them narrate the same events from three perspectives.

inflammation n. An inflammation is a painful redness or swelling of a part of your body that results from an infection, injury, or illness.发炎·The drug can cause the inflammation of the liver.

bourgeois adj. If you describe people, their way of life, or their attitudes as bourgeois, you disapprove of them because you consider them typical of conventional middle-class people.资产阶级的·He's accusing them of having a bourgeois and limited vision.

forum n. A forum is a place, situation, or group in which people exchange ideas and discuss issues, especially important public issues.论坛·The members of the council agreed that it still had an important role as a forum for discussion.

freight n. Freight is the movement of goods by lorries, trains, ships, or aeroplanes.运输·France derives 16% of revenue from air freight.

visualize vt.If you visualize anything,you imagine what it is like by forming a mental picture of it.想象,设想·Susan visualized her wedding day and saw herself walking down the aisle on her father's arm.

vanity n. If you refer to anyone's vanity, you are critical of them because they take great pride in their appearance or abilities.虚荣·The men who use steroids are motivated by sheer vanity.

endorse vt.If you endorse anyone or anything,you say publicly that you support or approve of them.支持;赞同·I can endorse their opinion wholeheartedly.

versatile adj.If you say that a person is versatile,you approve of them because they have many different skills.多才多艺的·He had been one of the game's most versatile athletes.

overturn vt.If anything overturns or if you overturn it,it turns upside down or on its side.推翻,倾覆·The lorry veered out of control, overturned and smashed into a wall.

ally 1. n. A country's ally is another country that has an agreement to support it, especially in war.同盟国·Washington would not take such a step without its allies'approval. // 2. vt. If you ally yourself with anyone or anything, you give your support to them.使结盟·He will have no choice but to ally himself with the new movement.

endure vt.If you endure a painful or difficult situation,you experience it and do not avoid it or give up, usually because you cannot.忍受·They endure further torment as rates of rape, domestic violence and early marriage skyrocket in times of crisis.

agent n. An agent is the person who looks after someone else's business affairs or does business on their behalf.代理人,代理商·You are buying direct, rather than through an agent.

intangible adj.Something that is intangible is abstract or is hard to define or measure.无形的;难以明了的·In fact, intellectual property and, more broadly, intangible assets now dominate American business.

intrigue n. Intrigue is the making of secret plans to harm or deceive people.阴谋·The young heroine steps into a web of intrigue in the academic world.

instantaneous adj.Something that is instantaneous happens immediately and very quickly.即时的;同时发生的·Death was not instantaneous because none of the bullets hit the heart.
