corrode vt./vi.to wear away gradually 使腐蚀,侵蚀·They can corrode through whatever human tissue they contact.

simulation n. imitation; the act of pretending 模拟,模仿·The simulation of death, therefore, implies a certain knowledge of death.

abound vi. to occur or exist in great quantities 丰富,盛产·Tales like this, of sailors wandering the desert for miles searching for food and water, abound amid the brutality of the region.

flick n. a sudden light blow; a light and rapid movement 轻弹;快速的轻打·Ironically, this flick is what sparked the relationship and eventual engagement between them.

inconsistent adj.not consistent, self-contradictory 不一致,不调和的,前后矛盾的·Fighting gun crime aggressively does not have to be inconsistent with the individual right to bear arms.
