PLANNING THE PROJECT

Project plans, like project charters, can be as brief or as extensive as necessary. The plan is essentially a project schedule that can be documented simply as a list of tasks and dates or developed as an integrated project plan using a more elaborate tool like Microsoft Project. As with the project charter, the plan must be documented formally, ensuring its preservation over time and in the event of project personnel changes.
