After it was entitled National Zhejiang University, it gathered a galaxy of excellent teachers, e.g. Qian Baocong, Chen Jiangong, Su Buqing, Bei Shizhang, Cai Bao, Shao Peizi, Zheng Xiaocang, Liu Dabai, Guo Renyuan, Li Shouheng, Gu Liuxiu, Jin Shanbao.

Li shouheng (1898-1995)

A chemical engineer and educator. From 1927 to 1960, Li was successively Chairman of Department of Chemical Engineering, Dean of College of Engineering at Zhejiang Public Industrial Junior College, the National Third Sun Yet-sen University and Zhejiang University, provost and vice president of Zhejiang University. Li established the first Department of Chemical Engineering in Zhejiang University, also the first in China.Guo Renyuan (1898-1970)

A modern psychologist. He became a professor of Zhejiang University in 1928. From March 1933 to April 1936, Guo was President of Zhejiang University.

Qian Baocong (1892-1974)

A mathematical historian and mathematical educator. Qian was a professor and Chairman of Department of Mathematics of Zhejiang University.

Gu Yuxiu (1902-2002)

An educator, scientist and poet. From 1929 to 1931, he was Chairman of Department of Electrical Engineering, College of Engineering, Zhejiang University. He had a profound accomplishment in the stage play, music, poetry and Buddhism, etc.

Jin Shanbao (1985-1997)

An agriculturist and academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He taught in the College of Agriculture, Zhejiang University from 1932 to 1935. The excellent wheat variety developed by Jin contributed a lot to yield increase in China.

Cai Bao (1897-1986)

A biologist. From 1934, he was succesively a professor of Department of Biology, Chairman of Department of Biology and Dean of College of Arts and Sciences.
