以-fe或-f结尾的名词的复数构成形式是把f变成v，再加s或es,ves读 [vz]。如：
Deeds are fruits; words are only leaves (leaf—leaves)．行动是果实；言语只是叶子。
Fun can be the dessert of our lives (life—lives) but never its main course．娱乐可以是我们生命中的甜点，但绝不是主菜。
