Methodology
This study explores Chinese and Swedish cultural values in one type of role relationships,teacher-student.Therefore it uses a quantitative method as a main technique with a qualitative one as a supplement since in the area of culture,some variables can be put into statements to be evaluated on a multiple-choice basis and the previous related studies can be used as a platform to design the study.The questionnaire is designed and employed to verify Hofstede and Hall's theories on the culture dimensions in relation to the teacher-student relationship.In addition,two types of qualitative data,written comments in the questionnaire and semistructured interviews,are used as a supplementary data when analyzing the results.
