SECTION 2: DIAGNOSIS OF LATE PREGNANCY
1. Diagnosis
1.1 Clinical Manifestations
1.1.1 Symptoms: ①The history of early pregnancy. ②With the increasing size of the abdomen. ③Appreciation of fetal movement at 16~20 weeks.
1.1.2 Signs: ①Fetal movement (3-5 times per hour).②Fetus:Fetus conceptus can be palpated per abdomen after 20 weeks. The fetal head, back, buttocks, limbs can be clinically identified after 24 weeks. ③Fetal heart ate (FHR): 110-160 times per minute: can be heard.
1.2 Auxiliary Examination
1.2.1 Ultrasound examination: Ultrasound examination provides information about fetal growth and development.①The number and size. ②Fetal anomalies or not. ③Fetal maturity. ④Fetal heart sounds. ⑤Fetal position. ⑥The degree of placental maturity. ⑦Amniotic fluid. ⑧Umbilical cord.
1.2.2 Fetal electrocardiogram: helps further diagnosis of abnormal fetal heart.
