Cooperation, Sharing and Reference:the First“Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation”Research Report

Abstract: The significance of Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation should be recognized through two aspects: new challenges and tendencies on the development of global city, and practical suggestions for Guangzhou's long-term development. By intensively studying the cases in the Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation, this study raises four concrete measures for Guangzhou municipal government:（1）specifically target Guangzhou as the innovative center in South China;（2）establish the innovative center to provide organizational guarantees and exhibition platforms for civil innovations;（3）build up a public data platform, bringing forth new pathways for public participation;（4）use sustainable development as a starting point of science and technology innovation for the construction of ecological civilization.
