Abstract

Extensive and profound social changes have taken place in modern China, which are extremely intense and complex in ideological field. The essence of the ideological struggles is the struggles among Marxism, non-Marxism and anti-Marxism. The struggles between Marxism and a variety of ethos are nothing new in history. As early as the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, Lenin exposed and criticized in depth the revisionism with Eduard Bernstein as its representative, and made a scientific reply to “what is Marxism and how to deal with Marxism”. Therefore, a thorough study on Lenin's Marxism View is not only necessary to construct the discipline of Marxist phylogeny, but also of realistic significance to solve various problems in ideological field of contemporary China.

From the holistic perspective of Lenin's scientific reply to “what is Marxism”，“how to deal with Marxism”and “what will the historical destiny of Marxism be like”，the present book strives to grip the core concept of “Lenin's Marxism View”，and systematically analyzes the historic formation of Lenin's Marxism View and its main content, essence and contemporary influence.

Firstly, it analyzes the conditions of period, the national background and the subjective factors contributing to the formation of Lenin's Marxism View. Secondly, by using research method of Capital, it exposes that the contradiction between theory and practice is the basic clue to comprehend the autonomic generation of Lenin's Marxism View. Thirdly, on the basis of in-depth text analysis, it expounds the main content of Lenin's Marxism View thoroughly and systematically. Fourthly, by applying the method of comparative study, it compares Lenin's Marxism View with that of Bernstein's, Kautsky's and Plekhanov's, endeavoring to further highlight the essence and scientific connotation of Lenin's Marxism View. Fifthly, starting from contemporary perspective of Lenin's Marxism View, it combs through the historic destiny of Lenin's Marxism View of post-Lenin period, i. e. the understandings of Lenin's Marxism View in different national conditions and cultural backgrounds, striving to manifest the values of Lenin's Marxism View among different evaluations from the oriental and occidental perspective and searching its contemporary value in the influence of Lenin's Marxism View on the contemporary Chinese revolution and construction.
