There is a saying which goes that “Never go out there to see what happens, go out there to make things happen.”
Those who did something great and go down in history, ancient and modern, Chinese and foreign, are all doers rather than onlookers. A telling example is Thomas Edison.Without his continuous experiments, he would not have invented so many devices that have greatly influenced people's life around the world, including the phonograph, the motion picture camera, and of course, the long-lasting, practical electric light bulb.
However, nowadays it is common to see people just stand aside and keep complaining but be reluctant to participate. In terms of environmental protection, for instance, many people living in big cities complain that the frequent heavy haze pollution messes them up.But they still drive their private cars to destinations rather than taking public transportation.Another case is that some people admire others' firm abdominal muscles but refuse to take regular exercises.
In a word, if we don't take action, nothing will happen.So let's just go out there to make things happen now.

有句谚语说：“永远不要去围观，去让事情发生吧。”古今中外，那些有伟大成就、名垂青史的人都是行动派，而不是围观者。托马斯·爱迪生就是一个活生生的例子。如果不是持续不断地做实验，他就不会发明包括留声机、电影摄影机，当然还有持久、实用的电灯泡这么多给世界带来深远影响的装置了。
然而，现在人们只是袖手旁观、不停抱怨，却不愿参与行动的情况屡见不鲜。举个例子，说到环境保护，很多生活在大城市的人都抱怨频繁出现的重度雾霾给他们造成了困扰。但是他们却仍然去哪儿都开私家车，而不是搭乘公共交通工具。还有个例子，有些人羡慕别人结实的腹肌，却拒绝进行有规律的锻炼。
总之，如果我们不行动起来，什么事情都不会发生。那么现在我们就行动起来让事情发生吧。
