Little Egret

With lightly smaller size than the intermediate egret, the Little Egret is about 50 centimeters long, having white feathers all over the body. The bill and legs are black, and the toe is green-yellow. During the breeding season, the occipital region grows two narrow and soft spear-shaped features, just like two plaits, overhanging on the scruff. There are sparse long feathers on the chest and the back extending to the end of the tail. The lore is purple-pink. After the breeding season, spear-shaped features and long feathers gradually disappear, and the lore turns to green-yellow.
