Tang Dongping

Born in 1964

Prof. Tang Dongping made a career as a photographer in 1982. He received the bachelor degree in department of Chinese language and literature and master degree from specialty of art and technology of filmmaking in department of photography in Beijing Film Academy (BFA). In 2003, he worked in University of New England (UNE) in United States as a visiting scholar. Hitherto, he works in BFA with field of photographic teaching and theoretical research. Works include Advertising Photography, Portrait Photography, Analyzing Photographic Works, Photographic Composition, Course of Portrait Photography,Applied Photography,etc.

无眠窗前月夜风

自20世纪80年代以来，中国经济持续高速增长，有人将之形容为“二十年赶超欧美两百年”。经济的高速发展加快了中国的城市化进程，各种社会问题也随即暴露出来：人心浮躁，物欲横流；原先农耕时代平静美好的诗意化景象只能蜕化为变形的梦幻，永远蛰伏在中国知识分子的内心深处；我们的眼前正在不断升起的鳞次栉比重重叠叠的高楼大厦，华灯霓彩已经完全替换了从前的清风明月。

Sleepless by the Moonlight Window

1980 witnessed the astonishing development of economy in China, and even some people believe that China has surpassed US and European countries within 20 years. Indeed, economic development has catalyzed the civilization and urbanization of China. At the same time, various social problems occurred: people becoming flippant, materialistic.The idyllic pastoral peace and the poetic beauty in the past have gone with the wind, and only remains in the bottom of Chinese intellectual's heart. Instead, we can only see numerous modern skyscraper buildings, and the neon light, but not the breeze and moon.
